For personal and professional growth
No serious athlete expects to perform at a high level without the support of a coach, and often several coaches. Retexo believes the same applies to anyone serious about developing their capacity as a leader, whether you are a business owner, CEO, executive, or manager.
Retexo uses an inquiry-based approach to executive coaching. By listening deeply and asking powerful questions, we support you in developing and sustaining new perspectives, heightening your self-awareness, becoming more effective in your communication and relationships, and gaining deeper understanding and ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and change. Executive coaching will help you find new solutions that would have previously been invisible. With continued practice, the ideas will enable you to see new patterns in yourselves and others and connect with your biggest potential.
Learn to serve, lead, and influence
The job of an executive coach is not to solve the client’s problems through consulting or by providing answers. As your coach, we are here to help you see for yourself where change is possible, and in doing so we help you develop your capacity to serve, lead, and influence others. Retexo’s coaching style is designed to help you become the author of your own future, behave consistently with your vision, and become a role model for others. As you take responsibility for your development, you begin to create a culture of learning around you that encourages others to do the same.
To prepare you to navigate the increasingly complex world in which we live, we help you learn, unlearn, and relearn how you are making sense of the world. To accomplish this, we:
- Create an environment in which you feel safe to grow, find your own answers, and create your own agenda
- Utilize various coaching frameworks which help you stay committed to the work to be done, yet foster the freedom to grow on your own terms
- Turn up the “heat” just enough to generate productive dialogue, but not enough to lose trust
- Help you to identify and disrupt your “immunity to change,” and define action plans to generate better results
- Foster self-awareness through direct communication, active listening, and reflection of what is and is not being said
- Create structures of accountability so the work you do during coaching is sustainable

Frequency & Duration
We recommend 90-minute to 2-hour sessions twice a month. Two-week intervals provide enough time for you to try out the things we discover together, but without so long a time between sessions that we lose continuity and connection. As for the duration of each session, every client is different. For some, 90 minutes is sufficient. For others, it feels rushed. We recommend starting with 90 minutes, and we will know if we need more time after the first couple sessions.
Location
Coaching sessions can be in person for clients in the Louisville area, but they are most commonly via video conference (Zoom) and also by phone. We were initially skeptical about using phone and video conferencing, but after having coached clients remotely for several years now, we feel confident in saying that one setting is not necessarily better than the others, merely different. We always enjoy meeting in person when possible, but we and our clients have found that video conference and phone sessions offer a different “feel” and can often be more focused and/or more effective at uncovering important issues. Even some of our local clients choose to do at least some of their sessions via phone or video conference.
Scheduling
You can choose your own time using our online scheduling system (see button below). This platform has been very well received by our clients because it allows them to quickly and efficiently choose the times that work best. Scheduling sessions as far in advance as possible is helpful. We do our best to keep our calendars up to date, but if we run into conflicts or changes, we will always work out a new time. Our only request of you, as a client, is to do your best to minimize last-minute schedule changes.
Rates & Payments
Every client situation is unique, so we do not have standardized coaching rates. In general our rates are in line with the market for executive coaches, and at the same time, we never want payment to be a barrier to supporting clients.
Payment is either via credit card when you schedule your sessions, or, if your company prefers, we can establish a billing arrangement whereby we send periodic invoices that can be paid by credit card, check, or bank transfer/ACH.
Once we have agreed upon rates, billing arrangements, and terms, we will provide you the password to either the credit card payment scheduling page or the company billing scheduling page which will allow you to conveniently schedule your own appointments.
The best coaching relationships are long-term, and thus hourly rates are discounted when you purchase and schedule multiple sessions in advance.
